"When I became president of US Signcrafters, I promised myself that communication and high standards would be guiding principals for leadership. One of the ways I chose to communicate to the employees was through a weekly "pay note" that was given with their pay check each week. The goal of the weekly pay note was communicate the fundamentals of business, the need for people to work together as a team and establish values that help create a meaningful work environment. This book contains some of my favorite "pay notes" through the years and I decided to turn them into the pages that became my first official book. Pay notes are still written and sent to this day through email."
